The Ethiopia Girl’s Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
THE NEED:Working side by side with International Crisis Aid in Addis Ababa, we have learned there are many girls who are ready to come out of the sex trade in the Red Light District. Some even beg to be rescued! Sadly, there are no available rooms to offer refuge to these precious girls and in many cases, their young children, who are also trafficked!
THE VISION:Faith that Works plans to open a Girl’s Center, where girls rescued from Addis Ababa’s red light district will live while receiving training at Mercy Chapel (currently funded by Faith that Works) for career and skills development. The vision is to purchase an existing apartment complex to house the girls and the
staff needed for support and encouragement during their transition and restoration.
